ORLANDO, FL – Some artists have a pocket they like to stay in – they know what they like to do and what they’re good at and they stay in that lane. Others explore the world of sound and aren’t afraid to push boundaries. Iamzaccp is one of those artists, and his upcoming EP “Live Free” is the kind of project that will show the world what can happen when a great artist pushes boundaries and innovates with new music.
Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Iamzaccp is a driven, diverse and forward-thinking artist with a unique approach to his sound. He recently released a groundbreaking new single called “Slide,” which hits the mark by showcasing his full range of skills. Anyone who loves the work of artists such as Drake, Travis Scott, Kanye West, T-Pain, R-Kelly or Chris Brown will love the modern rap and R&B flavors of Iamzaccp.
“I’m definitely exploring different sounds – from pop to urban pop to trap to R&B … anything you can think of as far as hip-hop goes,” he said. “It’s not just rap or just singing. I’m doing everything. Anything goes, and that fits with the title of this project, ‘Live Free.’ I’m trying to push the boundaries of music. And ‘Live Free’ will explore a lot of different ways of living. In some songs, I’m pushing people to be more politically aware of what’s going on in the world. In other songs, I’m talking about what’s going on in our country, in society and culture. I’m trying to encourage people to be aware of what’s going on around them. I’m also trying to be empowering.”
While highlighting current affairs and exploring the motivations behind some cultural issues, Iamzaccp also bares his soul to his fans. “Live Free” gives listeners an understanding of who he is as a “regular dude, trying to get it like everyone else.” By telling stories from his every day, he is encouraging others to be open-minded in everything they do and not just focus on one aspect of their lives – whether it’s religion or sexuality or work. He wants people to hear his music and be encouraged to get the most out of their lives – to be free of judgement or hardship or whatever might come along in life.
He also wants people to hear his music and recognize that he is one of the most talented and most versatile artists in the game today.
“I’m not afraid to be out there and be a little different,” he said. “Some people might say I’m being weird at times, but I’m OK with that. I left the industry for awhile because I couldn’t stand being in a box. I feel like we’re not pushing music forward today – it was way better in 2008 or 2005 than it is now. The music I hear today is very redundant and even boring at times because it’s so monotonous. I feel like we’re not doing any of the things we used to do. So ‘Live Free’ and the single ‘Slide’ are my way of introducing people to my style. It’s my way of showing people something they might be somewhat used to, but also a little different. And at the end of the day, people will hear my music and recognize that I’m one of the few artists out there today who can sound themselves no matter what track or vibe I’m going for because I’m giving you different sides of my personality. I’m always pushing for something different.”
