Our own Black Panther has now surpassed $665 million at the domestic box office, putting it ahead of James Cameron’s 1997 flick and its $659.4 million gross income (without accounting for inflation).
That total makes the Ryan Coogler-directed movie the third highest-grossing picture of all time, behind just “The Force Awakens” ($760 million) and “Avatar” ($937 million).
They started talking about a sequel before the movie even came out, so I assume we have that to look forward to. This is awesome news, though. What a beautiful victory for our people.
