Beedabee offers fans a ‘Lifeline’ with his R&B single
AKRON, OH – Beedabee is an openly gay pop and R&B artist and actor from Akron, Ohio whose single “Lifeline” is set to light up the airways and make a bigger name for himself.
From a young age, Beedabee has been able to combine his love for music and his love for performing by starring in school musicals and singing with his family. He has developed his voice into a powerhouse, mastering the full vocal range from falsetto to bass and enabling him to mold any genre to his own unique sound and style. Inspired primarily by pop, R&B, soul and rock, Beedabee brings a fresh perspective to his music.
With “Lifeline,” that fresh perspective gets put on full display. A song about feeling helpless and needing someone to be there for you emotionally, “Lifeline” is a moody R&B track that will be sure to connect with a wide range of people.
“It’s about going through the trials and tribulations of trying to be with someone,” he said. “And it’s about love in general – and how sometimes you feel helpless … like you need someone there to be your shoulder to lean on.”
Singing has been something that Beedabee has done all his life. He remembers fondly the times when he and his family would ride around in the car singing together, and he recounts how his time at an all-Jewish school pushed him to participate in musicals and choral performances that he wouldn’t have originally thought to have joined. By the end of high school, he had developed his vocals to the point that he decided to audition for the NBC show “The Voice.” And today, as his early journey in music continues, he’s ready to take things to the next level.
“Without music I know I wouldn’t be here today,” he said. “If not for certain songs or artists, I would have ended up in a different place. I want to be that voice for others who are going through certain situations, and I hope they can turn on one of my songs and realize it’s all gonna be OK.”
As far as his music goes, Beedabee said he hopes he becomes known as a master at many genres. Though he’s become known for his R&B and pop songs, he eventually wants to become known as an artist first, and one who can create something amazing with any style of music. “I don’t want to be just tied down to one genre,” he said. “I want my music to be known as real music. I want my music to always have real meaning behind it. I want to create music that gives people something to connect with and which has real intention to it.”
