The song literally sounds like a horror film with its unorthodox never-ending flows on top of the hypnotizing Trip-Hop sample and rumbling bass line. “The song is about learning the ropes of life while simultaneously gaining my independence from my parents. But, of course, no track of mine is complete without at least a little braggadocio, haha.”
BRVDFXRD was born in 1997 and raised in Detroit, Michigan for the first 8 years of his life within the ‘Brightmo’ community. After moving a mile outside the city to a town called Redford, exposure to many different cultures influenced his interest in music and the direction he’d ultimately make his own when he began rapping at age 17. While BRVD does often keep the aggressive, bass crumbling, distorted, mosh-pit inducing energy, he also is an experimental artist with flows, improving lyricism whether that be on the most aggressive of trap beats to boom bap, or even singing on occasion.
