In honor of Mother’s Day tomorrow, DC Don Juan shows his love, and dedicates “Granny Gran” to his late great-grandmother. Here’s what he had to say about her:
“She was the glue to my family”, he says. “She was a strong Panamanian woman who later moved to the Bronx and helped raise 26 family members in one house. When others thought I was a rotten child that was going to grow up and become nothing, her favorite words were ‘Noooooo, NOT MY DONI!’ I love and miss her so much. She was more like a homie than a great-grandmother. I dedicate this song to her”.
