Not every woman wears makeup but, for those that do, there are some essentials that are always handy to have with you. The problem is that sometimes your list of essentials can grow, leaving you carrying around a whole makeup kit just to touch up what you’re currently wearing. It’s useful to have a few things on hand, but there’s no need to carry everything with you. If you want to make sure you just have the essentials, there are a few items you’ll probably want to put in your bag or maybe keep in your car so they are there for you when you need them.

Concealer
Concealer helps you to fix a range of issues that you’re having with your makeup or blemishes on your skin. Your foundation helps you to create an even skin tone before you do the rest of your makeup, but a stick of concealer can be much easier and lighter to carry around. Of course, it’s not for using on your whole face, but it will allow you to touch up little areas, hide dark circles under your eyes, cover up a spot, or take care of any other issues that you might notice throughout the day.
Lip Color
Of all the makeup products, your lip color is often the one that fades away the fastest. You’re always talking, eating, drinking, or maybe just licking your lips. It can rub away even the hardiest of lipsticks, glosses, or anything else you might choose to use. So carrying around your favorite lip stain is a must if you want to be able to touch up your makeup. Fortunately, it’s usually a pretty compact item to put into your bag or wherever else you have space for it. You can find that some products will last through the day, but it’s always good to have a backup.

Mascara
If your mascara is waterproof, it will often stay in place fairly well. However, even mascaras that claim to be waterproof and long-lasting can wear away throughout the day or evening. Having your mascara with you means you can touch it up when necessary or fix it if it happens to have faded or even run. It can also be handy to have an eyeliner pencil or product with you. Eyeliner helps you to give your eyes more definition, so it works well in tandem with your mascara.
Makeup Wipes
Carrying something to remove your makeup is just as important as having the right products to put your makeup on. You never know when you might need to remove your makeup, whether it’s because you’re unexpectedly staying the night somewhere, you want to fix a smudge, or you even want to completely remove and redo your makeup. Plus, if you carry makeup wipes with you, you’ll be the hero of everyone else who wears makeup and hasn’t had the foresight to do the same.
There’s no need to carry an entire makeup kit with you when you’re out and about. A few key essentials are all you need.
