Introduce yourself to the world (name & where you’re from)

Hi world I go by the stage name Skky hi and I’m St. Louis Mo.

When did you start your music career?

I got a late start to my music career I didn’t start writing until I was 17-18. My coworker told me I wrote well I should be a ghostwriter. Then I started recording at 19 needless to say I wasn’t very good when I first started.

So you’ve just released your new mixtape. What’s the name of it and why did you choose it?

The new mixtape is called Philosopher Stoned. And I named it that because I’m a deep thinker while under the influence, so the project is a reflection of that concept and personal experiences.

What’s your favorite track on the tape and why?

I have two Cialis Flow and Who Luv U. Cialis Flow because it’s an example of what hip hop is to me and who luv u probably my most personal song. It basically tells how hard it is for me to find love since I been in a wheelchair.

So now that the tape is out, what’s next?

Well I’m going heavy on the promotions. Philosopher Stoned is like my coming out party. So I’m go be shooting a video soon. Also I’m working on projects with my label mates Polo P, Str3tch, and Speedy.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I see myself slipping back in the production role. I love the process of creating a project from picking out instrumentals to the final master. So in between my solo projects in the next 5 years look out for Executive Producer Skky hi.

If you could work with any artist, who would it be?

J Cole, Lupe Fiasco, and Kanye West, I’m also a fan of Paolo Nutini.

What indie/unsigned artists would you say are up next?

Well its four doing some great things in St. Louis right now. Indiana Rome, BoDean, T Dubb O, and Ackurate. But that’s just a couple the city full of talent. And of course I’m go say my team Polo P, Str3tch, and my little brother Speedy.
