OK so when I saw “Eternal 1999” I already knew if this artist had some sense, that meant this record included a sample of Bone Thugs n Harmony’s “East 1999 Eternal” album, which is beyond a classic by the way. Anywho, newcomer Chi City dropped this off, and I must say he did it justice. As expected, he sampled the legendary rap group and added his own twist. Now I’m a Bone fan to the death, so I was ready to give some bad feedback but I can’t. Chi City’s deliverance was on point and he embraced the Bone Thugs ambience successfully. The Chicago native did a good job, good enough for me to keep an eye on him. Take a listen below.
