Goldie Stallone uses success to give back to community
while inspiring others through music
LEXINGTON, KY – It’s not just his 10 golden teeth that have earned Goldie Stallone his stage name… it’s also his heart of gold.
The fast-rising artist from Lexington, Kentucky, is a self-made man who has risen from nothing to being a successful owner of his own business – and along the way he has made sure to give back to his community. He’s such a regular contributor to society that he was recently honored with by his hometown of Maysville, Kentucky, by being inducted into the Municipal Hall of Fame based on his contributions and various philanthropic efforts.
His most recent single, “Blessed Em,” is a musical testimony of that lifestyle and intentional way of giving back. In the song Goldie gives a couple of storylines and scenarios that demonstrate different ways to bless people. It’s a song that he hopes will bring awareness to some of the social injustices of the world and inspire others to give back in whatever ways they can.
“The song is based on real life,” he said. “I do events every year called ‘Kids Day’ where I give away backpacks and school supplies to kids – about 400-to-500 bags every year. It comes from things I experienced when I was younger. I went to school on my first day without a backpack or school supplies because we couldn’t afford them. As I’ve grown older and become more successful in life, I’ve remembered that. And I believe if you have money in your pocket you can do other things with it than get flashy cars and buy chains and jewelry. You can bless people.”
The song is a slower-tempo track that follows a narrative of people being generous and spreading an overall vibe of positivity and love. And it’s all laced under Goldie’s unique sound.
It’s a sound that is already gaining him some major attention and radio play. Plus, he was able to launch the single in collaboration with DJ Kutthroat out of Atlanta, who did a radio campaign on Hot 107.9.
It’s quite a journey for someone who grew up in the inner city and found himself in trouble with the law as a youngster – including a stint in prison. But when he got out, he started a swimming pool installation and design company. Though he’s always been involved in music, as well, it wasn’t until a year ago that he started pursuing music full-time, and already he’s seeing positive result with plays and features on over 100 digital sites and video blogs where his songs can be found.
The “Blessed Em” video was released on October 9. And over the course of the next two months, Goldie is running a special promotion for giveaways during the Holiday season. Those interested can text “Blessed” to 72727 to be entered into the drawing, and will receive a direct link to the new video.
