Whatever life situation you find yourself in this summer, it’s a good time to establish new patterns that can support your well-being for the rest of the year. It’s normal for annual goals to erode as the year progresses, but summer is an excellent time to re-focus and get back to your A-game.

Most of us start the year with high ambitions for our exercise routines; we are going to meet our goals by spring and look amazing come summer. Whether we meet these goals or not, the middle of the year is a time when things start to sag – our aspirations and our bodies in places. 

However, the summer months are the perfect time to re-establish the goals and intentions we had back in January. Mid-summer is a time to reflect on the past and the future, so we can see how effective our commitment is to get fit and healthy. Make new patterns now for the winter.

In summer, we have a chance to reduce our weight and establish healthy eating patterns before the colder weather comes in; that’s because we eat less in the summer overall, thanks to an increase in sunlight and metabolic rates. It makes it a perfect time to start intermittent fasting.
